The students were shown different types of studio lighting for product photography for example high key, low key or one-point lighting from this they were to use the product table set-up or light tent to produce outcomes using the different lighting set-ups. The students were shown the manual controls of a DSLR so they could take full control and manipulate the light coming into the camera depending on how they wanted their outcome to look. Once they were happy their images were taken into Photoshop where they were able to learn about grayscale and put their images into black and white. They were shown how to use tools to change the contrast and manipulate the shadows and highlights.
